Updated listings in the “coming soon” section of the Netflix application have revealed that the anime series SNOWBALL EARTH will be added to the streaming platform on the 4th October 2026. The series is currently available to stream on both Crunchyroll and Disney+ in the UK.
SNOWBALL EARTH is a relatively new anime series animated by Studio Kai and is adapted from the manga by Yuhiro Tsujitsugu. The series began simulcast streaming as part of the current Spring season earlier this year, but will soon find a new home on Netflix in October.
Synopsis: Tetsuo is a shy boy whose only companion is Yukio, a giant robot who once fought beside him to save Earth from invading monsters. Ten years after the final battle, Tetsuo returns home to a planet transformed—buried beneath endless snow and ice. In this frozen world, he sets out alone, holding tight to the promise he made to Yukio and searching for what remains of the world they once protected.
Naturally in order to stream the series you’ll need a valid subscription, an internet and a compatible device, but you probably already know that by now. In the meantime the official English Subtitled trailer can be viewed below.
