The feature-length-films Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway, and it’s sequel, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, will screen at participating ODEON Cinemas across the UK for ONE DAY ONLY as a DOUBLE BILL event on Saturday 10th October 2026. Both films will be screened in Japanese with English subtitles.
Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway is the 2021 animated feature-length film and was added to Netflix shortly after its Japanese debut. Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe meanwhile is the second film in the Hathaway story and released in 2026 in Japan before being addeded to Netflix in August of the same year. Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe was also previously announced for a UK cinema release this Autumn at MCM Comic Con London, and this DOUBLE BILL event at ODEON may be Anime Limited fulfilling that promise of having the film on the big screen.
Synopsis: MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM HATHAWAY: The year is U.C. 0105, twelve years after Char’s Rebellion. The anti-government organization “Mafty,” led by someone called “Mafty Navue Erin,” has taken a stand against the corrupt leadership of the Earth Federation. As Mafty carries out terror attacks and assassinates government officials, it gains support from the angry populace.
Mafty’s leader is actually Hathaway Noa, the son of war hero Bright Noa. Inspired by the ideals of Amuro Ray and Char Aznable, Hathaway plans to follow in their footsteps and clear a path forward through armed resistance. His destiny, however, is drastically altered as he encounters the Federation officer Kenneth Sleg and a mysterious young beauty named Gigi Andalucia.
MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM HATHAWAY The Sorcery of Nymph Circe: Haunted by past trauma, Hathaway is drawn to a mysterious girl named Gigi Andalucia, whose strange powers stir memories within him. While swayed by her cryptic words, he continues preparing for MAFTY’s mission — the attack on the Adelaide Conference. Kenneth Sleg of the Earth Federation Forces prepares a defence operation for the Adelaide Conference and a plan to eliminate MAFTY and is approached by Handley Yoxon of the Criminal Police Organization with a secret proposal. As Hathaway and Kenneth pursue their respective goals, Gigi also sets off for Hong Kong to fulfil her own role.
Regardless, if you’ve been wanting to watch both Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway films on the big screen then now is the perfect oppurunity to do so. Sadly, the event is only available for ONE DAY ONLY, which is Saturday 10th October 2026, at selected ODEON cinemas in the UK, and the films will only be showed in Japanese with English subtitles.
