It has been over a year since the anime based upon the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice game, known as Sekiro: No Defeat, was announced during Gamescom Opening Night Live and now Crunchyroll have officially confirmed that it will be streaming on the platform in January 2027.
Produced in partnership with Kadokawa, Crunchyroll, Qzil.la, and ARCH, Sekiro: No Defeat will retell the events of the game — a tale of loyalty and blood, set in a fantastical reimagining of Sengoku-era Japan. The series will be available exclusively on Crunchyroll worldwide, excluding Japan, China, Korea, Russia, and Belarus, and will premiere on Crunchyroll as an eight-episode series featuring additional content beyond the theatrical version currently screening in Japan.
