An updated listing on the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) website has revealed that My Hero Academia: You’re Next, which is the fourth feature-length film in the My Hero Academia franchise, has been rated for “Physical media + VOD/Streaming” by Crunchyroll Limited. The rating was added to the BBFC website on the 19th August 2025 in the “Home Entertainment” section of the page.
As a reminder My Hero Academia: You’re Next received a UK cinema release from Crunchyroll & Sony Pictures UK/Columbia Pictures last October (on the 18th October 2024 to be exact), and was then added to Crunchyroll’s streaming platform in April of this year. Since then the film has yet to receive a physical release in the UK, so this updated BBFC rating could suggest that the film is being prepared for a UK Blu-Ray (and possibly DVD) release by Crunchyroll in the UK. In the US the film was released on Blu-Ray by Toho International themselves after it received a cinematic release from Crunchyroll.
Synopsis: In a society where heroes and villains continuously battle in the name of peace and chaos, Deku, a U.A. High School student who aspires to be the best hero he can be, confronts the villain who imitates the hero he’s long admired. Can Deku and the rest of U.A. High Class 1-A protect the world by putting an end to Dark Might, the man claiming to be the new Symbol of Peace?
As it stands we will just have to wait and see if Crunchyroll are releasing the film in the UK, but for the time being subcribers to the Crunchyroll platform in the UK can now stream My Hero Academia: You’re Next in dubbed and subbed formats. My Hero Academia: Two Heroes and My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising are also available to stream on Crunchyroll in the UK. The Final Season of My Hero Academia is also expected to simulcast stream on Crunchyroll from 4th October 2025.
