The Anime Guest of Honor at MCM Comic Con returns, as the show schedule has revealed that Fuga Yamashiro, the director of the DAN DA DAN anime series, will be attending the event with a panel taking place on Friday 24th October 2025 on the Main Stage.
Fuga Yamashiro joined Science SARU in 2016, and since then he has worked on various projects including Inu-Oh (as a unit director) and The Heike Story (as an episode director) until he made his directorial debut with DAN DA DAN. Fuga Yamashiro was also the assistant director on Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! and The Tatami Time Machine Blues.

Join Fûga Yamashiro, Director of Dandadan, for a deep-dive into the twisty turny world of Momo and Okarun. Take a look behind the scenes of the latest season’s horror rom-com mash-up, hear their experiences of the world of Anime, and how these influenced their work on the much-loved show.
Everyone attending MCM Comic Con on Friday 24th October 2025 will be able to attend the panel and learn more about his work on the series, and the world of DAN DA DAN. It’s also worth noting that Anime Limited are releasing DAN DA DAN on Blu-Ray in the UK (details of which can be found here) and that both seasons of the series are available to stream on Crunchyroll and Netflix in the UK.
