What was this? “Adopt a combative loner” week in Japan? At least this time they weren’t browbeaten for it, but this stone has been wrung dry of blood. There is nothing more to give. On top of that, it just plain wasn’t a funny episode. Most of the jokes were a variant of “she does a robot thing.” And even those were often tortured. Flying, sure. Not something humans can do. Hearing or seeing slightly better? Running an AV presentation? Real transhumanism here.
The stinger joke at the end of the episode of a convoluted pretzilification to twist “her shampoo smells nice” to calling him a pervert as an attempt at a joke was the cherry on top of the episode. Only the promise of a second killer robot next week gives me any hope whatsoever to continue. I want to see her being an out-of-control maniac, not… looking and listening slightly better than people, supposedly.
