Digimon Ghost Game English Dub Now Available on BBC iPlayer in the UK

DIGIMON Ghost Game, the 2021 anime series based around the beloved Digimon franchise, is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer in the UK and makes its debut with a brand new English Dub version.

The addition of an English dub for DIGIMON Ghost Game is big news, as until now DIGIMON Ghost Game could only be streamed in subtitled format, and through Crunchyroll. However, as of today (1st December 2025) all sixty-seven episodes of the series are now available to stream on the BBC iPlayer service in the UK. The English Dub has been produced by TOEI Animation and TOEI Animation Europe, in partnership with Transperfect Media, and features the English voice talent of Greg Vinciguerra, Cat Protano, Sean Chiplock, and Ryan Colt Levy.

Synopsis: On social media, rumors of a mysterious phenomenon, known as “Hologram Ghosts,” are spreading. Hiro Amanokawa, a first-year junior high school student, activates a mysterious device left behind by his father, and encounters a Digimon called Gammamon.

It is unclear if any changes have been made to the content of the show, such as how Dragon Ball Super had violent scenes or dialogue removed, but we can see that the opening and endings have been translated into English and that the opening song has been done in English. It seems TOEI Animation are continuing their partnership with the BBC iPlayer service as well, as this will be the second “English Dubbed” TOEI Animation related IP to be added to the service within the year.

Regardless, the addition of English dubbed episodes of DIGIMON Ghost Game on BBC iPlayer is a welcome addition to platform, as previously the only way to watch the series was subtitled through Crunchyroll. It is also unclear if the BBC are planning to broadcast the series on TV, but for the time being at least those interested in watching DIGIMON Ghost Game in English can do so on BBC iPlayer.
