Impressions:
Can’t say it was the most interesting episode, and it feels particularly weird that they’re not just throwing Teoritta in a box somewhere for the entire affair, but she’s seemingly not making any kind of commotion about it. Or appearing in the episode at all aside from taking a nap on the couch of confinement. Wasn’t the whole plot that they were going to use her as bait? But wait, first we need another long flashback to another sentencing where once again, it turns out the ‘hero’ is wrongfully accused and it’s all political.
Now, instead, we’re infiltrating the adventurer’s guild, which is a thing, apparently. Not sure what they do since monster killing is a criminal hero thing. But it means it’s time for another awkward date and dressup with Kivia, only to roll back into the fiancee. At least the last minute or so had the entire squad punch… and explode… some brainwashed orphans. Mixed feelings there, but it was funny how the one adult got gratuitously barbecued and all the kids just got smacked on the head. Even the silent thugs were competent. A true rarity in anime. Still, that wasn’t until about 21 minutes into the episode, and the first 16 minutes were spent sitting at tables discussing plans, only to briefly return to the table after comedy dressup time. I appreciate the levity, but good lord, we could’ve started at the 18 minute mark of the episode.
