MVM Entertainment have today confirmed through online retailer anime-on-line that Ya Boy Kongming! will be released as a Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray set in the UK on the 9th November 2026. An early bird pre-order deal is also being offered for a limited time through the retailer.
Ya Boy Kongming! is a 12-episode series animated by P.A. Works and is adapted from the Japanese Manga written by Yuto Yotsuba (with illustrations by Ryo Ogawa). As mentioned this UK Blu-Ray set will be released as a Collector’s Edition and contain a 64-page art book housed in a rigid art box alongside the Blu-Ray case, of which will feature the series in English and Japanese (with English subtitles). Bonus features on the disc are also expected to be textless songs and Japanese promotional materials.
Synopsis: In the year 234, a dying Zhuge Kongming’s thoughts wander over his life as one of China’s greatest military strategists and statesmen, wondering what might have been had he been born in less turbulent times. Inexplicably, Kongming finds himself in a younger body in a very strange land! But why has a master of feudal diplomacy and the art of war been brought to modern Japan?
