The newest entries in the mainline Pokémon games have been unveiled as Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves, and they will be released simultaneously worldwide for the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.
The titles were unveiled in a lengthy teaser trailer as part of the Pokémon Presentation earlier today, of which also introduced the three new starter Pokémon; Browt (Grass type starter), Pombon (Fire type starter) and Gecqua (Water type starter). The trailer also showcased the wide open areas, both on sea and land, that players will be able to explore as well as the much improved visual appearance of the game.

Not much has been shared so far, but it certainly looks very to fun and the game will also introduce two new forms of Pikachu known as Mr. Windychu and Ms. Windychu; each wearing a distinct outfit.
Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves is currently set for a 2027 release on the Nintendo Switch 2 with further details to be announced in the near future..
