Colopl, a Japanese games developer, have recently announced that KAZUMA KANEKO’S TSUKUYOMI, a game that combines deck-building with roguelite RPG mechanics, will feature a collaboration with Devil May Cry 5 where Dante, Nero, and Vergil will appear and grant bonuses if defeated.
According to the press release; during the middle of the game’s story, players will encounter the iconic Devil Hunters: Dante, Nero, and Vergil and depending on the player’s choices, they will engage in battle against these formidable foes. The battles themselves are described as being challenging, but defeating them yields massive rewards, as the player will receive “Jinma” card allies, of which allows players to use the “Stylish Action” of Devil May Cry 5 through strategic card battles.
Each character features unique card effects that faithfully recreate their traits from the original game:
Vergil (“CONCENTRATION”): Attack power gradually increases up to ten stages each time a combo card effect is activated.
Dante (“STYLISH RANK”): The more hits dealt to the enemy within a single turn, the higher the rank increases, which in turn boosts the attack power of the cards in your hand.
Nero (“EXCEED”): By leaving this card in your hand when ending a turn, Nero’s attack power can be significantly increased up to three stages.
Furthermore, if specific conditions are met during battle, the Devil Hunters will activate their “DEVIL TRIGGER” or “SIN DEVIL TRIGGER”, further enhancing their card performance. Players will also be able to acquire their signature weapons as exclusive “Divine Gear” attack items. Items designed after Dante’s “Devil Sword Sparda” , Nero’s “Red Queen” , and Vergil’s “Yamato” will be available, providing effects that reinforce their respective character cards.
As a reminder KAZUMA KANEKO’S TSUKUYOMI is adapted from TSUKUYOMI – The Divine Hunters, a game released in 2025 for mobile and PC platforms, and includes a brand-new character, expanded story elements, an updated user interface, rebalanced gameplay, and new card art from Kazuma Kaneko, along with 3,600 cards chosen in collaboration with the community from the original game.
About: In KAZUMA KANEKO’S TSUKUYOMI, the story unfolds within “THE HASHIRA,” a state-of-the-art skyscraper towering over the Tokyo Bay area. Players take on the role of four Jinma Hunters as they make their way through the demon infested floors of The HASHIRA. It has been sealed off by a barrier placed by Noriko Tomi, the owner of the facility. Each of the four hunters come with their own style of gameplay, allowing for players to customize and outfit different decks for the correct situation.
KAZUMA KANEKO’S TSUKUYOMI will launch digitally for the Nintendo Switch on the 24th April 2026 and will be priced at $24.99 / £24.99 / €24.99. Further details can be found on the official website.
