MVM Entertainment have recently revealed that My Instant Death Ability is Overpowered will launch in the UK as a Standard Edition Blu-Ray set on the 10th August 2026. Pre-Orders for this set are also now available on the anime-on-line store as an early bird promotion until next week (24th May 2026).
My Instant Death Ability is Overpowered is a 12-episode series animated by the animation studio Okuruto Noboru and is adapted from the Japanese Light Novel of the same name by Tsuyoshi Fujitaka, which is distributed in English by Yen Press. This UK Blu-Ray release will contain all 12 episodes in both English and Japanese (with English subtitles) across 2 Blu-Ray discs and is expected to use the same disc materials as those authored by Sentai Filmworks in the US. As such, we can also expect textless opening and closing songs and web previews as bonus features.
Synopsis: When Yogiri Takatou and Tomochika Dannoura are transported into another world along with classmates, they seem to be left out when others are gifted with amazing superpowers and the chance to become Sages. Are they doomed to become dragon bait? Or could it be that they already have a few special abilities of their own from back home that no one is expecting? That would be extremely helpful, as there aren’t many people left they can trust, least of all their now power-mad former classmates and the Sages who supposedly “defend” this world…
My Instant Death Ability is Overpowered – The Complete Collection is scheduled for for a Standard Edition Blu-Ray release on the 10th August 2026 with an SRP of £39.99. Pre-orders are now being accepted on the anime-on-line store, of which is also available at an early bird price for a limited time, and pre-orders at other retailers are also expected to appear in the coming weeks. In the meantime the series is available to stream on HIDIVE in the UK.
