Impressions:
I would say that I once again lost the thread of this episode, but I’m not convinced that it had one to start with even before it went into… whatever the hell that animation style was. It seemed like it was another episode based on Lollipop, though aimless with her just chatting with Ame over… Miyazawa Kenji, I guess? Yes, the Japanese author. Thrilling. Who doesn’t want a recap of Night on the Galactic Railroad?
Then we had the weird segment, and 15 minutes in, it abruptly drops all of that to be entirely about Michica’s drug abuse and inability to leave her past behind. She throws a tantrum at Kache, runs off to trash the school again, and… that’s where the episode ends. Well, not really. It ends with Lollipop yelling and whining for comedic effect. Even for this show, it was… not a coherent episode. And I say that remembering the utter insanity that Ghost Concert has been bringing every week.
