The Last Worlds: Crossed Souls, a 3D Open-World Action RPG inspired by franchises such as Dragon Quest, The Legend of Zelda and Monster Hunter, and in development by Lupio Studios, has a playable demo on Steam with its early access release scheduled for 1st August 2026. The game is also planned to be ported to consoles once the PC version has been fully developed and released.
Born on NESS-444 The Last Worlds: Crossed Souls follows Matwin, the last human, and Lupio, a rare Nessky, as they journey together to discover the secrets of their origins. Throughout their journey players will encounter dangerous Nesskey and be able to fight them using various weapons, such as Swords, Axes and Hammers, and forge new items and gear through Nessian Stones that can be found through the world.

The Last Worlds: Crossed Souls has reportedly been in development since 2020 and has not used A.I in its design. A playable demo of The Last Worlds: Crossed Souls is currently available to download on Steam, with early access planned for release on 1st August 2026. An updated demo on Steam is also expected during Steam Next Fest later this month.
It’s not yet known when the full version of the game is due to be released, other than a Q4 2026, but it will be available for Windows PC through Steam. Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S versions of the game are also currently planned once the Windows PC version has been developed and released.
