Publisher FREE STYLE Inc. have recently announced that supernatural themed hide-and-seek game OBAKEIDORO 2: Chase & Seek will launch digitally for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on the 6th August 2026. Digital pre-orders are also available on the Nintendo eShop.
OBAKEIDORO 2: Chase & Seek will see players experience a unique, and supernatural, themed survival game of hide-and-seek where the monsters seek out the humans and the humans have to survive until the clock runs out. To aid in this game monsters will have unique abilities and skills, such as passing through walls, while humans can use items to evade and stun the monsters. Whether offline or online the game supports 8 players, with up to 2 players as monsters and 6 as humans. Additionally, with GameShare support on the Nintendo Switch 2 you can have friends join with only a single copy of the game.

Single Player Chase & Seek: A solo mode where you can enjoy the game at your own pace. This is the best mode for earning Coins, the in-game currency used to unlock new Monsters and Lanterns.
Local Party Chase & Seek: A local multiplayer mode for up to 8 players using multiple Nintendo Switch systems. Create a private room and face off via local wireless communication.
Splitscreen Chase & Seek: A couch co-op/versus mode for up to 4 players on a single system. The screen splits into four, allowing families and friends to laugh and play together in the same room.
OBAKEIDORO 2: Chase & Seek is currently available to pre-order digitally for £16.99 on the Nintendo Switch and £19.99 on the Nintendo Switch 2 from the Nintendo eShop, and is scheduled to launch on the 6th August 2026.
