That escalated quickly.
Impressions:
Weird episode, which is an evergreen statement for this show, but this felt like a soft reboot, seven episodes in. Going to a new place, with a completely different cast of antagonists, and a new babysitter/adult character… You never even got to the antagonists introduced in the first episode of this season, and now we’re doing tengu themed ninja assassins for I guess an arc on the two established competent kids? Or maybe just the ninja dude?
Certainly feels more significant than just another arc, but I don’t know, maybe everyone will just follow them. Still a welcome change from the previous episode’s filler AND not doing a whole episode on this new comic relief guy whose schtick is that he lies constantly and badly with it literally written on his face. Then again, the random five minute historical asides on Random Ass Dude or Faction will never not be weird.
