Nintendo are celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda in style, as during the Zelda focused Nintendo Direct earlier today the company not only announced a release date for the new The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, but also confirmed the existence of the The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 Console, Pro Controller and Case alongside new Amiibo and LEGO set.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo Switch 2:
Release Date: 5th November 2027
Physical 1st print editions of the game will feature a special gold foiled cover while supplies last. Discover an adventure for the ages in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, for Nintendo Switch 2. Featuring reimagined visuals, a refreshed soundtrack and modernised gameplay, this classic quest has been remade for a whole new era. Guided by destiny, Link sets out on a heroic journey that spans the land of Hyrule and unfolds across two different eras. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Amiibo:

Amiibo based on young versions of Link and Zelda from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be released in 2027, with each unlocking unique masks that Link can wear in game.
40th Anniversary Edition Console, Pro Controller and Case:
Release Date: 29th October 2026
To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda a special Nintendo Switch 2 console is being produced in addition to a Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller and Console Case. The designs both the console and accessories will match, thus making a truly unified experience for the ultimate Zelda fan. That’s not all, as an exclusive version of the Pro Controller will be sold on the Nintendo Store and it will come with a special Zelda themed stand.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time “Ocarina” Accessory

Two different ocarina devices, of which are both based on the ocarina within the game, will be released and made available through the Nintendo Store. One of them will be an instrument, while the other will be electric. It looks like the instrument version will be a Nintendo Store exclusiv while the electric version will be produced by HORI. Additional details for the Electric version can be found on the Japanese website which suggests the device will be priced at around 8000 yen (which equates to around £38).
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Link & Epona LEGO Set
Release Date: TBC
A LEGO set based on Adult Link and Epona within The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was announced. No details just yet, but it looks fantastic.
The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Orchestra Concert:
An orchestra tour will be taking place throughout Europe, America and Japan, with the concert taking place in London and Scotland for it’s UK part of the tour.
