Bye Bye Earth #03 — Random Shambling Undead

Do they just enforce curfew or something?

Impressions:

The luster’s really coming off this as it piles more and more nonsense up, and there wasn’t a ton to start with. Her teacher who was presumed dead is actually meeting with some sword witch, but then he shows up to the local demigod to be declared officially dead and his god-brother. Meanwhile, Belle fairly effortlessly and with poor animation beats the centaur and shatters his sword, a grave dishonor that causes him to scream in rage, just for him to nobly declare his loss and wander off while the demi-god proclaims all is good and it’s not so much dishonor after all. Meanwhile, the shambling hordes of undead are still wandering through the city and I guess nobody’s really noticing or caring. This is all in the first half.

The second half has the rabbit assume its twink form as a vaguely malevolent illusionist mage, go harass those dudes who tried to murder him, and then haul Belle off to see a lounge singer. In between that, Belle rescues her family from slavers. Oh, did we not mention that at any point? Did you think she was an orphan or something by the way her parents have never before been mentioned in any of her childhood flashbacks? Well, apparently she has loving parents, who have never once talked about her around their other child, and said child is thicker than brick because she missed Belle yelling “Mom! Dad!” right in front of her.

And that’s two paragraphs summarizing the episode, which read like the train of thought from a retired professional wrestler with fourteen concussions attempting to summarize the MCU. I’m really not sure that’s what I’m looking for in a show.
