Come on. Animal shows are ridiculous, and you’re not even doing it?
Impressions:
Either the comedy here has completely run its course, or this was just an incredibly weak episode. The first third was the most disappointing by far. There’s so much that they could’ve done with some kind of deer show just by doing dog show things, but with deer. Whether it’s all the weird breeds, or odd agility course things that turn into American Gladiators/Takeshi’s Castle or what. Instead, they did… nothing. They talked about how they need to get serious for the deer show and did nothing. Most galling was perhaps the two characters in the background just sitting there devoid of all personality, merely existing to announce jokes had been made occasionally. I don’t want to have their gimmicks driven into the floor, but why do they even exist? To give the VAs a check to collect weekly?
The other two segments were nearly as bad. She tried to be a YouTuber, but antler shenanigans happened. And, again, that’s the entire joke right there. Her antlers went crazy and there was a lot of yelling about it. I gave up on the vampire streamer thing because that was about all it could come up with comedy, and this was no better. For the final third, all it did was introduce a new person to overreact loudly to almost all of the same gags it did previously. Are they fresh and new because it’s barista instead of a teenager? Well, if your focus on the humor is on who’s doing the yelling, then I guess so.
