Impressions:
What gets me is that they clearly know what would be exciting. Just do what’s being advertised and teased in the OP. Women on fire. Magic fights. Robots with laser cannons. Instead, the episode is… the main character wandering around aimlessly, lamenting that he doesn’t really have anything to do. Could’ve at least stumbled into some kind of… whatever, saved someone, learned about the setting, had some kind of run in with cyber-orks, I dunno, something.
But alas, all that exists is a little bit of deadpan schtick. Better than screaming schtick? Sure. We’ve cleared the absolute lowest bar possible and seemingly stopped right there. All that was accomplished this week is that he got a change of clothes. This is only the second episode. We’re giving up on doing anything already? Fantastic work as per usual, JC Staff. So much for Saturdays this season.
