Gee, who could be behind this.
Impressions:
Hey, nice. We broke the pattern. The first episode where the protagonist doesn’t run away from the fight only to turn back and one-shot the antagonist of the week. They did this by not having a fight or antagonist of the week, instead being all setup for Aki’s evil sister. First the sob story and demand for murder. Then the zombie plague. Then we got super distracted into bringing back Vegeta 2.0 as another antagonist turned gag character, but not to actually do anything. Just some schtick. Then the episode ends.
At least they’re seemingly finally getting into some form of arc, though I don’t see him and his harem of gag antagonists are going to have any passable story bits here. The evil sister was also pretty transparently just out there attempting to murder — excuse me, PG show, drain their life force, and no part of how things have gone makes much sense, especially with how hapless and idiotic the protagonist in question that she needs somebody to assassinate for her has been. Aki’s really the only one with any space for development it feels like in this bit, and I’m not optimistic.
