The Prince Charles Cinema in London, which is an independent cinema located near Leicester Square, have recently revealed on social media that they will be screening a variety of anime films throughout March, April, May, June and July of this year, with our highlight being the original NEON GENESIS EVANGELION films.
EVANGELION: DEATH (TRUE)² and THE END OF EVANGELION will receive a double-bill screening on Friday 18th April 2025, with individual screenings of each film planned for later in May and June. That’s not all, as the final EVANGELION film in the rebuild trilogy, EVANGELION: 3.0+1.01 THRICE UPON A TIME, will also be screened throughout July.
Of course, if you are not a fan of EVANGELION then there are plenty of other anime films to enjoy, as the cinema will also be screening Perfect Blue, Ghost in the Shell, Paprika, Memories, My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away and The Boy and the Heron. Majority of the films will be shown subtitled, but the Studio Ghibli films will be shown in both subbed and dubbed formats.
