I can’t say any of the Saturday (morning) shows are really calling to me. Kowloon’s third episode just shuffled things around. The rapist dude was early in the episode and the lady waffled over her feelings and existential angst late. The trip thing was just more of the first episode; a boring tourism advertisement. And this was… also worse than the first episode. The first half actually wasn’t really that bad. The new character is very reminiscent of the terse but hyper competent deadpan characters of old, like Prof in GA Art Class or Ichigo in Pani Poni Dash, though not nearly the murderous agent of chaos. Still, for ostensibly being about drones/kites, it was actually mostly just listening to the twin-tailed one scream excitedly.
Then we ditch them for that other homebody girl to go out vlogging with a biker who… also just screams loudly in reaction to everything. And without the deadpan reactions, and only nonstop yelling, things definitely went from tolerable to obnoxious very quickly. Also gone from both segments was a fair bit of the background humor and more side gag kind of things that it was doing while it was rambling aimlessly. Instead, montages of kiting or biking around. Yes, I see the very basic parralax scrolling you’ve figured out. That’s all we’ve got for this scene? …Okay.
