Clearly they need a man to fix them.
This is another 2x episode premiere, but I’m in no rush to get to the second episode, if at all.
Impressions:
This begins with literally the entire school gathered in the gym to jeer and bully the new kid for the grave sin of being new. And I mean physically beat him up. Then the titular sisters show up, and the entire crowd breaks into a cheering frenzy with people yelling out descriptions of each one in turn so they can each pose for the camera. We then had the protagonist narrate his sob story before going to their house to do it all over again, and then once more for good measure so that they could all blush and begin getting horny from there being a dude nearby who takes care of them and treats them right. In that same Stepford Wife kind of way of protagonists from shows like Fruits Basket where they accept all abuse without complaint or personality, and have no presence except to clean up after them and tell them how great they are.
It was less than a great opening episode, both from how many times they went through and repeated each sister’s gimmick, and the protagonist being a gender bent shoujo doormat. The whole thing is pretty much that though, with all the same tropes, even the harem being full of pointy chinned people. I think it was the ending ‘cliffhanger’ that pushed me from bored and exasperated into outright distaste. He’s told that only he can ‘save’ them. Adding on a messiah complex is meant to be the hook to stick around. Only this little helpless twink, with his ability to… lavish attention on otherwise highly capable girls can ‘heal’ them and restore balance to the world. Give me a break.
