The Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme is a cinematic event which sees films from Japan screened in cinemas across the UK over the course of several months. Since its debut in 2004 the programme has seen classic films, directorial debuts and anime brought to the big cinema for a celebration of cultural awareness of Japanese cinema.
Anime Limited did previously announce that Lonely Castle in the Mirror would receive a cinematic release, although it is unclear if this is the cinematic release they were referring to rather than a traditional cinematic release (such as GODZILLA MINUS ONE). Regardless, Lonely Castle in the Mirror will be available in selected cinemas as part of the 2024 Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme from 3rd February 2024.
