A new manga has taken me. It’s some good shit.
It’s a autumn vibe over here, bet a lot of you are feeling that but it’s spring here. Australian spring is always all over the place. Blogging to Taylor Swift is also new as I am not a big fan but her album evermore and folklore hit a core with me, I think is some of her best stuff honestly. A lot of things feel chaotic right now in my life but I’m taking some time for my poor blog to ignore that shit and last week I read the best remedy of manga in a long while.
Where has Saika Mikiami been?
This is her first big serialization and can I say what a debut for herself. We like stories of misunderstood delinquents or troubled boy teen who don’t like to follow the rules, maybe following the wrong circle of people but then a remedy comes along to make them see a different path for themselves. Titles that come to mind Sounds Of Life anime and Honey So Sweet Manga are what this manga gives off and much more honestly. Volume one impress me that much, that I need for anyone else feeling in kind of stuck mode with things in your life that this will unstick all the messy in your brain.
I feel the Romeo and Juliet affect as the manga of the emphasised after reading, Kaoruko and Rintaro following opposite educations on different levels but there schools across from each other. The quaint meeting they have Kaoruko comes into Rintaro’s family patissiere once a month is the cutest and touching first meet for what comes in the first volume. Kaoruko and Rintaro really are a perfect strong main pair exuding so much emotion as you read their thought processes towards each other, every time they interact. Innocent atmosphere involving so much adolescent intensity and curiosity. Out of the pair Kaoruko is the instigator for the pair as they begin a closeness, a innocent girl from a glance but a strong thinker and decider on what she wants. I adored this trait of Kaoruko and her character was instant love honestly. Rintaro is starting out as a chickling and will grow into a leading man with boundless confidence by the end. By far any mean factor to be classed as a delinquent, just someone who sees limited options for himself from what he is currently bound to, but still you see his strong will to break free from that.
Thinking Like Them
People are mean whether we like or not and for why we are treated so negatively, bullied, looked down upon, we wander over so often and then never would you be conscious of the fact you do this behaviour yourself. Rintaro had gotten too use to be put down by others which caused a judgemental, slight distrustful nature towards new things and when Kaoruko came along it reared its ugly head. Judgement past upon Kaoruko has set food in the door but years of put down causes Rintaro to be hard on himself and on her, until someone points out the behaviour he is showing is the same. This character aspect of Rintaro really captured his imperfection and I loved it exampling something we are ourselves wouldn’t be way we do of. The moment he realises and goes to rectify with Kaoruko and discourse with himself only brings the two closer together. Showing the small faults of being human are things I love to see in romance manga like this and it was done touchingly and felt binding for me. Kaoruko and Rintaro both display a slight desperation to be near each other this process they went through to start their closeness was beautiful honestly.
The Fragrant Of His Flower is pure sweetness with a touch of adolescent desperation. Balance of romance elements along with light humor is perfectly balanced along with amazing artwork, feel of deep touch, facial expression that they might jump out the page and hit your core whether you want that or not. This is a title to make you feel in ways you probably haven’t in a long time and that is the hook line to be reared in. I already am in love with this series and will be apart of my own collection, I’m on the tips of knowing what will happen for these two characters and emotive love that is going to be had of these two. Seriously this is one to pick up now!
Better yet check out the trailer for the ANIME! Cloverworks studio you have done justice here, it looks good!
