At Tokyo Game Show 2024 KOEI TECMO showed a new gameplay trailer for FAIRY TAIL 2, a direct sequel to the FAIRY TAIL game released in 2020, with it providing fans an overview of the gameplay and system mechanics within the game.
As shown in the latest trailer FAIRY TAIL 2 will feature a revamped magic battle RPG system in which characters not only attack individually, but also perform Link Attacks and Unison Raids with guild mates in order to deliver devastating attacks on enemies. In addition FAIRY TAIL 2 will also feature a revised character progression mechanic in which players can use skill points to acquire new skills and abilities for each character.
As a reminder pre-orders for the Limited Edition version of the game through the official KOEI TECMO Store, with two different editions being offered.

A Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available from Digital Storefronts, which will contain the base and additional costumes based on the Atelier Ryza franchise for select FAIRY TAIL characters, and items for use within the game. Specific details about the DLC will be confirmed at a later date, but KOEI TECMO did confirm that those who purchase the game before January 2025 will receive access to the “Miss Fairy Tail Contest Costume” for Lucy.
FAIRY TAIL 2 is currently planned for a 13th December 2024 release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5. The Windows PC (Steam) release will be available from 12th December 2024.
