Impressions:
I guess here’s an answer to what the show would be like when the animators phone it in for a week. Still far above Cheat Power RPG #7,231,842, but not much praise past that. And by the time we reached the end and got to endure minutes on end of screaming about pooping, everything here had long since worn out its welcome. No real action scenes and the new character exists solely to be a weird character design and infodump nonstop.
About the only piece of exposition that seemed to serve any purpose is that the evil ghost gets weaker outside its lair, so the plan is to drag it out. That’s definitely something that needed twenty goddamned minutes to convey. Not even from some kind of reveal or epiphany. It’s just flat out one of the first things directly stated. Most of the rest is immediately gone back on as soon as it’s introduced. We need to train you, but we’re not. Here’s your magic clothing, let’s ditch them. I can kill anybody, but I’m not. Great talks all around, guys. Back to screaming like a three year old about pooping.
