Last week, or if you prefer last month, Anime Limited (All The Anime) revealed a list of films that they will be bringing to UK cinema throughout 2026, with one such film being Lupin the IIIrd the Movie: The Immortal Bloodline. Sadly no release dates were listed, but newly published information on the Digital Cinema Media website, as well as a rating on the BBFC website, has revealed that Lupin the IIIrd the Movie: The Immortal Bloodline could be coming to UK cinemas earlier than expected.
According to the The Digital Cinema Media (DCM) website Lupin the IIIrd the Movie: The Immortal Bloodline is listed with a 7th February 2026 release date and lists Anime LTD as the distributor. The BBFC Website meanwhile has listed the film with a 15 rating, with descriptors for strong bloody violence and injury detail, and the rating being for a UK cinema release through Anime LTD. The BBFC website also lists the film as being released on the 31st January 2026. Both dates on the DCM and BBFC websites could be tentative date to allow Anime Limited to release the film as soon as possible.
It’s also worth noting that the film has only received one rating on the BBFC Website, so its possible that the film may only be screened in Japanese (with English subtitles). Usually if both dubbed and subbed versions of the film were being released in to cinemas, then two ratings would be displayed (just like this rating for SPY x FAMILY CODE: White). Regardless, Lupin the IIIrd the Movie: The Immortal Bloodline has been rated by the BBFC and has information listed on the DCM website, which means its release could be coming a lot sooner than expected. This is of course good news for Lupin fans in the UK.
Lupin the IIIrd the Movie: The Immortal Bloodline is the thirteenth Lupin the Third film and originally released last year (in 2025) in Japan, and is directed by Takeshi Koike. The film is also considered the final entry in the Lupin the IIIrd story line and offers an entirely new story filled with familiar characters.
Synopsis: After fending off a series of skilled assassins, gentleman thief Lupin III and his band of allies follow a strange invitation to an uncharted island. When their plane is shot down, the gang is stranded and soon hunted by the island’s inhabitants, past enemies, and a monstrous immortal being known as Muom, who threatens to destroy Lupin’s legacy. As a deadly toxic fog settles over them, Lupin must confront his greatest enemy in his most daring escapade yet.
Interestingly Lupin the IIIrd the Movie: The Immortal Bloodline isn’t the only title to be rated by the BBFC, as trailers for All You Need is Kill and The Last Blossom have also been rated. I would speculate that both of these trailers were rated so that they could be shown before Lupin the IIIrd the Movie: The Immortal Bloodline at the cinema.
Either way, we will most likely hear more news about the UK Cinema release of Lupin the IIIrd the Movie: The Immortal Bloodline very shortly.
