Netflix, in partnership with various production companies including WIT STUDIO, have announced that THE ONE PIECE anime series, which adapts the original manga from Eiichiro Oda into a more modern-day streamlined anime experience, will become available to stream globally in 2027 with all 7 episodes from the first season becoming available at once.
As mentioned the first season of THE ONE PIECE has been confirmed to be 7 episodes long, of which will adapt the first 50-chapters from the original manga, in to a 300-minute long season. The runtime and episode count also means that each episode will be around 42 minutes in length, which is double the length of your typical anime episode and remains about the same as Netflix’s live-action episode runtime.
Interestingly while we have new information about this first season, and the year of availability, we still don’t have any visuals of what the series will look like beyond a teaser poster published on to social media and character visuals shown in the trailer below. Regardless, THE ONE PIECE will begin streaming in 2027 while the original ONE PIECE anime series, which is being treated to a HD REMASTER, is currently available to stream on Netflix alongisde new simulcast episodes and the live-action series.
