Screencaps really show it all.
Impressions:
If it can be spoken, it can be yelled, and thus, comedy is obtained. Hooray. It’s too early in the morning for this. Another one of these. The setup is exposition. The punchlines are optional. But the overreactions? They are LOUD. They are loud and they usually just repeat what was just said. Boy, do we love our manzai in anime.
It doesn’t even actually really engage with its premise of being about ghost hunting for most of the episode. He just screams incoherently about seeing ghosts without any actually showing up, unless you count the girl summoning some wisps. It isn’t until almost 15 minutes in that the first ‘ghost’ appears, and ‘ghosts’ in this case are more like random Mad Libs nonsequiturs that appear and do a gag so that he can yell it and leave. Like Phantom Thieves that leave random props around his room. Or a Kenshin dude who tells him to touch his loincloth. …End of list. Yes, that’s all the ghost related jokes of the episode. The latter would be stretched out for nearly five minutes to squeeze every single drop of blood from this stone.
