Bandai Namco Entertainment have recently confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the 2020 musou-styled game ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4 will be released on the 21st November 2025.
Developed by KOEI TECMO GAMES, and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4 takes the traditional musou (1vs100) gameplay style and mixes it with the ONE PIECE story line and offers lots of different characters to play as. Naturally these Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game will feature quality of life improvements, such as improved visuals, frame-rate, more enemies on screen and potentially faster load times.
The release date for these newer editions were announced as part of the trailer showcasing the new DLC characters in Character Pack 7. This new DLC Pack, which will also be available on 21st November 2025, adds Rob Lucci (from CP0), S-Snake (one of Dr. Vegapunk’s Seraphim) and Jewelry Bonney (captain of Bonney Pirates and member of the Worst Generation) as playable characters. Character Pack 7 is available to purchase individually or as part of Season Pass 3 which includes Character Packs 8 and 9 that will be released in 2026.
ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 4 will be available for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 21st November 2025, but the game is now available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. It is expected that those who own the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game will be able to upgrade to the newer versions, although it is not known what options will be available for Nintendo Switch owners of the game wanting to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
