Exciting end to a barely animated fight here.
Impressions:
After all that, they just… kind of walk away. Oh, sure, one of them chases after them, and immediately gets sucker kicked and then insta-KOed, but then her buddy reappears and everyone goes home. Why? To make time for backstory, flashbacks, and setup. We’ve been getting the setup for the buddy dudes since episode 3 I think. Crap or get off the pot already. That schtick in the OP about the beefy guy being a reckless berserker? That seems fun. Why aren’t we doing that? Or the sadist glasses dude. Anything besides more training and leaving fights early to go have a chat and nap.
And I’m sure this’ll be a shock, but man who doesn’t much like flashbacks or setup is bored by flashbacks and setup. Dude has a history with Jogamine’s hero dad. And of course it’s a tragic one. Every damn flashback is the same song and dance. It’s mandated by the Japanese government or something. Why do we get it? Why not. Gotta put it somewhere, and ain’t much going on in the plot, so why not here?
