If you’ve yet to experience the crossbell arc within The Legend of Heroes franchise then you may want to hold-off just a little, as NIS America have today announced that both The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and its continuation The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure will be heading to the Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 later this year as both a physical collection and individual digital titles.
Both games were originally released on to the PSP (PlayStation Portable) in Japan, before being ported to other platforms and given quality of life treatments. In 2022 (and 2023) the games were officially released in Europe and North America with an English translation on to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC in both physical and digital forms. These newly announced Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 versions, which are planned to release in 2026, will retain all of the quality of life updates featured in the previous western release but will also include 120fps and 4K resolution support on compatible devices and, for Nintendo Switch 2, a mouse-mode option.
