This may be the least animated show I’ve watched this year.
Impressions:
AKA “The Strongest Prince’s Secret Battle for the Throne – An SS Rank Prince Pretends to be Inept While Controlling the War Over the Kingdom’s Succession From the Shadows.” I almost feel bad for trash talking that Rearguard show yesterday, because this genuinely appears to be competing with it for the laziest show of the season. Sure, it doesn’t have the reincarnation or stat screen popups, but it makes up for it by being even more of a slideshow while still doing the whole ranked guild RPG thing. I genuinely suspect that its OP has more frames than the entire rest of the episode combined.
He goes on two ‘adventures’ and both of them are just a speedline still fireball before going home to attend yet more talking head meetings. Like all of these things with too long titles, it spends the entire script and story budget of the first episode explaining the title, repeatedly and at great length. Ironic in a way. There’s nothing redeemable here.
