Despite Crunchyroll confirming their August & September 2026 release line-up earlier this week an online retail listing at Amazon UK has today revealed that the distributor will also be releasing the fifth season of Black Butler, known as Black Butler – Emerald Witch Arc, on Blu-Ray in the UK on the 28th September 2026.
Black Butler – Emerald Witch Arc is the fifth season in the Black Butler anime and is a continuation of the anime adaptation from Yana Toboso’s manga of the same name, otherwise known as Kuroshitsuji in Japan. Consisting of thirteen episodes, and presented in both English and Japanese, this fourth season sees Ciel and Sebastian had to Germany to investigate the cause of mysterious deaths.

Synopsis: At the Queen’s behest, Ciel Phantomhive and his butler Sebastian, leave for Germany to investigate a series of mysterious deaths. Those who enter the Werewolves’ Forest are destined to be cursed, but Ciel and Sebastian press on to uncover the truth.
Black Butler has an interesting release history in the UK, as the first and second seasons were released by Manga Entertainment (who are now known as Crunchyroll) and the third season, Book of Cirus, was released by Anime Limited. The fourth season, known as Public School Arc, was released by Crunchyroll and now this fifth season, Emerald Witch Ar, will also be released by Crunchyroll.
Regardless, if you are a fan of Black Butler then you’ll soon be able to own Black Butler – Emerald Witch Arc on Blu-Ray, but in the meantime the entire Black Butler series can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
