I miss the murder people.
Impressions:
We’re not getting back to the plot, are we? This dumb test is going to last for the entire rest of the season, isn’t it? Also, why is this test just going to some random island and murdering all the wildlife? Sure, they’re only slightly incinerating the giant bird so far as the focus, but poison girl literally melted some random beaver before stealing a rock from its baby.
But I guess we’re supposed to ignore that and cheer for them when they declare that they’re going to do their best. And not lose, because they have to do their best. Because they’re doing their best. …Yeah, feels like we’re totally phoning it in here, above and beyond harassing CGI birds. Plus, Spica’s big victory doesn’t come from grit, pluck, resolve, wit, ingenunity, or whatever other heroic traits. It comes because her power level is apparently high now. I can be sure of this because there’s about a thirty second aside from the peanut gallery announcing and declaring it, which is the note it chooses the end the episode on. Didn’t we have a sorting hat declare the opposite like two episodes ago? It was dumb then, and it’s dumber now for doing a 180 on itself.
