Fate/EXTRA Record, the long awaited remake of the classic PSP game Fate/EXTRA, will launch on 27th January 2027 for the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 & Windows PC with physical editions planned for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.
Fate/EXTRA Record takes place within the world of Moon Cell Automaton, a digital world created by SE.RA.PH, and will see players take on the role of Master as they work with their servant (Saber, Archer or Caster) to reclaim lost memories and obtain the holy grail for their own. Unlike Fate/EXTELLA, or Fate/Samurai Remnant, which were action RPG styled, Fate/EXTRA Record is a turn-based RPG which will see players use cards to attack enemies with the story progression through visual novel styled sequences.
About: After humanity discovered a supercomputer hidden on the moon, everything changed. Known as the Moon Cell Automaton, this powerful computer created SE.RA.PH, a digital world where 128 combatants are pitted against each other for the ultimate prize, the Holy Grail. An omnipotent wish-granting device, the Holy Grail is capable of fulfilling any desire. Now in the role of Masters, these combatants form contracts with Servants, digital beings embodying historical figures and heroes, hoping to be the final victor in this life-or-death battle. Having lost all memories, unable even to recall why they’re trapped inside this virtual battlefield, one such combatant is thrust into the role of Master and must step into the grueling Moon Holy Grail War alongside a single Servant, driven solely by the will to survive.

In Europe Fate/EXTRA Record will be published by Marvelous Europe Limited and alongside the announcement they have confirmed the physical and digital release plans which include a Limited Edition version on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.
