New listings on Netflix’s “new & popular” section have confirmed that the live action Teasing Master Takagi-san TV Drama, which is based upon Sōichirō Yamamoto’s manga series of the same name, will arrive on Netflix UK from 25th March 2024 with new episodes expected to be added weekly.
The live action TV drama is based upon the original manga series, which has seen numerous spin-offs, continuations and anime adaptations, and follows the daily life of Takagi and Nishikata who play harmless pranks and jokes on each other. This live action TV drama is produced by TBS & Fine Entertainment, with Netflix securing streaming rights outside Japan, and sees Rui Tsukishima as Takagi and Soya Kurokawa as Nishikata.
The anime series meanwhile, which is also adapted from the manga, currently has three seasons and a feature-length-film and Netflix UK currently has the second season available to stream. The first season is available on Crunchyroll, with the third season available on HIDIVE. The film is also available to stream on HIDIVE. The original manga series meanwhile is available via Yen Press.
