MVM Entertainment Licenses “Magical Girl Site” and “Wasteful Days of Highschool Girls” for UK Blu-Ray release

MVM Entertainment have recently announced, through social media, that they have licensed Magical Girl Site and Wasteful Days of Highschool Girls for a UK Blu-Ray release.

Specific details about these titles, such as releasing timings, editions or language options, have yet to be confirmed, but we assume that MVM Entertainment will use the same disc masters as those used by Sentai Filmworks in North America. A breakdown of each title, and expected disc contents (based on the US release by Sentai Filmworks), can be found below:

Magical Girl Site:
Japanese with English subtitles | 12 Episodes
Bonus Features: Music Videos, Making of Music Videos

Synopsis: Bullied by other girls at school and abused by her brother at home, Aya Asagiri’s life has become so bleak that she’s contemplating killing herself just to escape. Then a strange site on the internet promises to make her a magical girl and the consequences prove beyond terrifying when a toy gun left in Aya’s locker kills one of her bullies! Being a murderer isn’t the worst part of Aya’s new situation, however, as it turns out that there have been other Magical Girls before Aya, and someone has been systematically hunting them down, killing them and taking their magical artifacts! Together with her classmate Tsuyuno, Aya must now track down the other magical girls and discover who is murdering them and why… all before an ominous counter finishes a deadly countdown on the MAGICAL GIRL SITE!

Wasteful Days of Highschool Girls:
English & Japanese with English subtitles | 12 Episodes
Bonus Features: Textless opening & closing songs, Japanese Promos and Episode Previews

Synopsis: Tanaka Nozomu isn’t exactly brilliant. But, given that her only goal for high school was to get a boyfriend, who else would fail to realize that attending an all-girls school was a bad idea? Well, there’s always the fallback plan of getting other girls to introduce her to boys they know. Too bad that Tanaka’s “bright” idea of giving her classmates nicknames based on less attractive character traits has caused her un-flattered friends “Robo” (for her apparent lack of emotions) and “Wota” (a reference to a creepy otaku types), as well as not-friends like “Loli” (who’s hypersensitive about her petite size,) to “reward” Tanaka with the special nickname of “Baka” (“idiot”), which is quickly adopted by the entire student body. Well, maybe the second week of school will be better in WASTEFUL DAYS OF HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS.

We can expect MVM Entertainment to share more details about the release of Magical Girl Site and Wasteful Days of Highschool Girls in the near future, but in the meantime both series are available to stream on HIDIVE. In addition to the two titles listed above MVM Entertainment have also relicensed Fate/stay night Unlimited Bladeworks, a series they previously licensed and released on both Blu-Ray and DVD in the UK.
