MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA Will Launch Worldwide in 2021

Project LUMINA (Notes Co., Ltd., Aniplex Inc., and DELiGHTWORKS Inc.) is set to release the 2D fighting game MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in 2021.

MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA is based on the world of Tsukihime -A Piece of Blue Glass Moon-, the much anticipated Tsukihime remake from TYPE-MOON. The new game features a story by Kinoko Nasu and character designs by Takashi Takeuchi (no surprises there).

The game will be developed by French-Bread, the collective behind the original MELTY BLOOD and Under Night In-Birth series. While staying true to the classic MELTY BLOOD games, TYPE LUMINA has been built from the ground up with HD visuals and a rebuilt fighting system. This includes the “Rapid Beat” system, which allows players to land combos with repeated button presses.

The game will include more than 10 playable characters with 10 unique colour schemes each, as well as the option to set up custom colours. Single-player modes include Story, Time Attack and Survival.

MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA is set to release worldwide in 2021, with support for five langues: Japanese, English, Chinese (simplified and traditional), and Korean. Voice acting will be Japanese only.
