As part of Netflix’s Geek Week, which has seen a variety of announcements and new trailers for upcoming shows such as Sonic Prime, Terminator and Avatar: The Last Airbender, the streaming giant released a teaser trailer for the upcoming live action Yu Yu Hakusho TV series.
Unlike the live action ONE PIECE series, which was produced in English and then later dubbed into different language, this live action adaptation looks like it is being produced in Japanese (with subtitles for relevant audiences) and looks to recreate iconic moments from the classic shonen series while still delivering that classic storyline.
About: After a selfless act costs him his life, teen delinquent Yusuke Urameshi is chosen as a Spirit Detective to investigate cases involving rogue yokai.
The Yu Yu Hakusho TV series will become available to stream on Netflix worldwide from 14th December 2023, but in the meantime the new trailer can be seen below. A listing page for the series is also available on Netflix.
