HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle To Receive UK Cinema Release Next Month

Crunchyroll have today announced that HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle, which is the latest feature-length-film in the HAIKYU!! anime series, will receive a cinema release in the UK on 31st May 2024, with the film available in English & Japanese (with English subtitles).

The announcement was made on the official Crunchyroll News Blog, along with confirmation that the film will receive a wider cinematic release across the globe with a staged rollout across throughout May and June.

May 30: Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Italy, Switzerland (Italian-speaking), Netherlands, Argentina, Brazil, Central America (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama), Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru

May 31: Canada, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States

June 7: Turkey

June 12: Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland (French-speaking)

June 25: Austria, Germany

June 27: Switzerland (German-speaking)

Interestingly the UK will receive the film on the same date as the US, which is pretty exciting.

About: Shoyo Hinata joins Karasuno High’s volleyball club to be like his idol, a former Karasuno player known as the “Little Giant.” But, Hinata soon finds that he must team up with his middle school nemesis, Tobio Kageyama. Their clashing styles turn into a surprising weapon, but can they beat their rival Nekoma High in the highly anticipated “Dumpster Battle,” the long awaited ultimate showdown between two opposing underdog teams?

HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle isn’t the only film that will receive a cinematic release, as the streaming giant also confirmed that BLUE LOCK THE MOVIE -EPISODE NAGI- and OVERLORD: The Sacred Kingdom will also receive cinematic releases across the globe, but at the time of writing exact locations have not yet been confirmed.

Regardless, we can expect to hear more about the UK cinematic release of HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle, such as screening and ticket availability, in the new future; but for the time being it is scheduled to be available in UK cinemas from 31st May 2024.
