Bliss Brain Corporation have recently released a new trailer for 70s-style Robot Anime Geppy-X Hi-Res, otherwise known as Geppy-X, that showcases one of the new features found within the remastered game. As part of the experience players will be able to switch between the original anime footage, in its glorious pixelated format, to the newly remastered footage created from the original source material.
As a reminder 70s-style Robot Anime Geppy-X Hi-Res is a high definition remaster of the original Geppy-X game and will be heading to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC on 16th July 2026. For this High Definition remaster the original Betacam master tapes have been re-digitized and animation has been fully restored to its original 24 frames per second, of which can be seen in the newly released trailer.
Geppy-X features a campaign mode as well as boss rush mode and alternate episodic content, additionally the original 1999 voice performances from some of Japan’s most respected and influential anime actors, including Akira Kamiya, Shō Hayami, Shūichi Ikeda, Ichirō Nagai, and Gorō Naya. Quality of life improvements include Rewind, Rapid Fire, Quick Save as well as CRT Filter functions.
