Late last month Crunchyroll (UK) announced as part of its Ani-May Celebrations that it would be taking over The Outernet experience in London to bring anime celebrations to the city streets, and today the distributor and streaming giant have confirmed the exact timings and what to expect from this event.
The event will take place this weekend between Friday 22nd May and Sunday 24th May 2026, coincidentally it is also the same weekend as MCM Comic Con at the ExCeL Centre, with activities running for most of the afternoon. The exact timings can be found below.
Location: The Outernet, Charing Cross Rd, London WC2H 8LH
Date & Time:
Friday, 22nd May: 11.00am – 8.00pm
Saturday, 23rd May: 10.00am – 8.00pm
Sunday, 24th May: 10.00am – 6.00pm
As part of the experience attendees will be able to participate in motion games inspired by notable anime series including Blue Lock, My Hero Academia, and Solo Leveling. That’s not all, as guests to the experience can also commemorate it by taking a photo in the photo booth and can try their luck at the claw machine. The press release we received also mentions that guests will receive a tote bag filled with goodies, which could potentially include a leaflet for a discount voucher at HMV Oxford Street on Crunchyroll titles.
Ani-May is a celebration of anime throughout the month, and as part of this celebration Crunchyroll is offering discounts at retail, films at ODEON Greenwich and this visual experience at the Outernet in London. Other activities and promotions are also available, with a full breakdown of the months activitites available here.
