What a waste of super powers.
Impressions:
What a boringly strange show. Giant meteors gave kids super powers, and they’re used exclusively for parkour capture the flag games. But also, they’re super regulated and there’s alerts for using you powers too much, except wait, no there aren’t, because there’s this ginormous secret lab where all the super power kids go that has secretly developed an unlimiter that amplifies their powers and negates all the previous restrictions that we just spent the last five minutes explaining. And what are we doing with this newfound freedom? More parkour! At least it’s decently animated, but what is this absolute nonsenes of a premise that it spends half the episode introducing and then immediately throws out.
I might be more hopeful for it if anything at all promised that things were about to go sideways, evil teens with super powers or monsters are about to emerge, and only parkour can fight back, but there’s none of that whatsoever. Just a post-credits scene of the one mopey psychic boy half transforming into a dragon or something. The OP promises only more parkour. Which is also pretty weird because you have some characters whose powers are super speed, flight, and invisibility, or super speed, or super speed but slightly different, while others are “pinkie blade” or “can make people dance,” and it’s trying so hard to make these be equal under the great parkour rules. Maybe it’s the world’s biggest swerve, but with apparently like five different parkour teams in the OP to get through, I severely doubt it.
