It is the news that many Dragon Ball FighterZ fans have been waiting for, but Bandai Namco Entertainment have today confirmed that Rollback Netcode is now available for Windows PC (Steam & Windows 10) versions of the game and that Dragon Ball FighterZ has also been released onto PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S with Rollback Netcode support.
PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S versions of the game, along with rollback netcode support for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC versions of the game have been teased for quite some time, with even a testing period of rollback netcode taking place on Steam several months ago. However, as of now the wait is over and Dragon Ball FighterZ fans can enjoy this improved online multiplayer performance in addition to PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S owners being able to enjoy the game.
It is worth noting that those who already own Dragon Ball FighterZ on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series version of the game at no additional cost and this applies to both disc and digital versions of the game. PS4 or Xbox One disc owners will need to insert the disc into their console and select the upgraded option on the dashboard, while PS4 or Xbox One digital owners will just need to select the upgraded version from the store. Those who previously purchased downloadable content for the game will also be able to receive the upgraded version at no additional cost, but will need to redownload it from the relevant storefront.
Bandai Namco Entertainment have also confirmed that physical PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are currently being produced and are planned to release on 19th April 2024. In the meantime at least Dragon Ball FighterZ is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC worldwide.
