Bandai Namco Entertainment have recently taken to social media to reveal that the PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S versions of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will launch on 24th May 2024.
Not many details about this ‘current-gen’ upgrade have been shared, but owners of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platform will be able to upgrade to the new version within the same console family (i.e. PS4 to PS5 & Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S). Additionally save data can also be transferred within the same console family, which means you’ll be able to carry-on your progress on the newer platform. It is expected that the upgrade will be free, but details will be confirmed at a later date.
As a reminder Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a 3D Action Fighter with RPG mechanics where players can create their own character, level them up, and embark on missions to protect the Dragon Ball timeline. Since its release in 2016 (yep, it’s 8 years old) the game has received many updates and expansions to the overall story, and has been released on multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Either way, the PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will launch on 24th May 2024.
