HMV have today revealed on X (formally Twitter) that they will be offering exclusive Steelbook Blu-Ray editions of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, with each season (or part) currently scheduled for release on 7th October 2024.
Unlike past Gundam releases, which have been distributed by Anime Limited (All The Anime), these Steelbook Blu-Rays of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury will be distributed by Crunchyroll (UK). At the time of writing we’ve yet to receive an official confirmation about this release from Crunchyroll, or whether a Standard Edition Blu-ray of each set will also be made available.

According to the product listings on HMV these Steelbook Blu-Rays of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury will feature English and Japanese audio (with English subtitles) along with textless songs and promotional videos. The runtime of each set is listed at 325 minutes, but we do expect that Season 1 will contain Episodes 0 – 12 with Season 2 containing Episodes 13 – 24. Of course we’ll know more in the near future.
For the time being at least these Steelbook Editions of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury will be exclusive to HMV in the UK and are scheduled to be released on 7th October 2024 with both sets currently available to pre-order. In the meantime Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
